Why does an Agent need a Resume?
Because your Buyers and Sellers do want to know more about you. Buyers and Sellers today are technologically advanced. Information to them is everything. So you really should invest in a good tri-fold brochure/resume about you and your business.
Many real estate agents have some experience from another industry, perhaps a major in science not business etc. So why should you have a resume when it does not pertain to your current career?
Because, Buyers and Sellers today require themselves to have all the information they need to make an informed decision to hire you. So, do list former career and degree in addition to your real estate experience and real estate education. It all counts.
What if you are young and new to the business and you think you have nothing to add? Of course you do. You need to get it down so you can build on it. This is part of your personal marketing, and says why they should chose you and no one else.
It is important for you to identify who you are, what you love to do and incorporate those likes into your marketing. You will end up enjoying the clients you work with as well as the work itself. Remember, real estate is a fun career and you should be having fun working in real estate.
There is always room for pictures, slogans, anything that makes you look great and sets your business apart.
See Example Below: Top is the folded version: Left is the Front and Right is the Back. It is important to design your tri-fold resume so that no matter how it sits, the message is the same - Contact, Name, Message & Photo.
